VivaLaunch Party Recap
Event Recaps 0 CommentsThanks to everyone who forged through the Storm of the Decade to get to the uber-exclusive Automattic Lounge for VivaLaunch on October 13th. DJ Adam and his percussionist kicked it into party gear for the larger-than-expected crowd of hipsters and philanthropists.
Guests were given the option of making a small donation, of which the proceeds benefit Kids and Cars, or to donate a dress or gown to the ever-expanding inventory of VivaSwap which has broadened beyond cocktail dresses and gowns and now includes teen girl party dresses (can you say Bar Mitzvah?)
Food and drink did not disappoint. Top Chef Season 3 finalist, Casey Thompson, whipped up the oh-so-fabulous hors d’oeuvres while master mixologist – Dave Osborne, shaked it up with the signature VivaTinis (click here for recipe). As for the wine lovers, OneHope Wine generously donated both red and white wines to the event.
In Vivanista’s quintessential view of life, there was a little learning and a whole lotta fun. All eyes were on the panel as they addressed the differences between political and charitable fundraising. Both Pamela Joyner and Janet Reilly came prepared with behind-the-scenes insights and expertise.
As an added bonus, guests perused in-person collectibles from a variety of Vivanista boutiques, including S.King Collection, Harris Ranch, Lacorte tennis bags and Graf & Lantz. Showcase partner, Rodan+Fields, displayed a sampling of their famous skincare regimens as well as two new products.
