World AIDS Days brings an opportunity to match “dollar for dollar” the Material Girl at www.raisingmalawi.org. The music icon now also known as Madge pledged $100,000 for every contribution made to Raising Malawi and has generated a worldwide response. The people of Malawi have been hit hard by AIDS. Even obtaining the most basic medical care is unaffordable for most people affected by the condition. To date, the most vulnerable victims of the AIDS crisis are Malawi’s orphan children who number around 2 million. Through donations Raising Malawi seeks to use funds generated towards healthcare, education, clothing, shelter, and other much needed support services.
