The Cause: San Francisco Ballet 77th Anniversary Opening Night Gala Silver Celebration

The Credentials: On the evening of January 20th, the San Francisco Ballet Auxiliary kicked off the 2010 Reperatory Season with its glamorous 77th anniversary Silver Celebration honoring Helgi Tomasson’s 25 years as Artistic Director. The festivities commenced with a black tie cocktail reception and dinner by McCall Associates in City Hall with the gala performance afterward in the War Memorial Opera House, whereupon guests viewed a performance of the Company in a selection of works chosen in Helgi Tomasson’s honor. Guests then transitioned from ballet to boogie at the City Hall rotunda where they danced the night away to live music by Grooveline and DJ Solomon at a dessert after-party.
