1. Tell us a little about you: Where you live/what is your profession?

I live in New York City and founded a company called Orchid Worldwide. The main area of my company is the Orchid Resorts & Escapes division. Orchid Resorts & Escapes are whimsical, refreshing and extraordinary properties and destinations that ultimately create a unique place for a romantic hideaway, a corporate meeting, a special gathering, a refuge, an executive retreat or simply a place to breathe and relax.

2. What is your favorite element about Vivanista?

I truly love the philanthropic angle mixed in with a bit of fashion, fun & lifestyle for movers & shakers!

3. What are your interests/hobbies/passions?

I enjoy dancing, racquetball, theatre, cooking (yet, living in NYC makes that not happen as much as I would like), my philanthropic work and cleaning actually!

5. Do you have a cause close to your heart? Dress for Success – the mission of Dress for Success is to promote the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life

6. Do you currently sit on or have you previously sat on any boards or committees?

Yes, Dress for Success while in Chicago and I just recently moved back to NYC and looking to diving in immediately as this organization is very special to me.

7. Who is your role model?

My mother.

8. What was the best charity event you ever attended and why?

This is tough question. I have attended so many for various causes and I truly feel it comes down to what you personally feel strongly about no matter the true event, yet the entire organization around it.

9. If you could give one piece of advice about charitable fundraising, what would it be?

Be true to the cause you are supporting and when you are asking for funds for any organization, this passion will exude when you are asking for charitable donations and this will only allow the company or personal donor to become excited as well.

10. What three words best describe you?

Driven, Passionate, Silly (You have to have a bit of fun!)
