The Celebration: The Grand Opening of Soho House West Hollywood

The Cause: A viewing party of the 82nd annual Academy Awards hosted by Merceds-Benz

The Credentials: After years of anticipation, Soho House – the exclusive private club with locations around the world – debuted its newest sibling in the top two floors of West Hollywood hi-rise, complete with 360 degree panoramic views of the city of angels. Upon entry into the garage where valet awaited, guests were checked in at the base of the elevator that then delivered them into the elegantly rustic interiors of the penthouse’s lower level where they then ascended a marble staircase into the sunlit lounge just as it was beginning to set. While most of the party’s attendees lounged about near the bar or on the outdoor balcony that wrapped around the perimeter of the building, many chose to take in the show on the enclosed terrace featuring stunning olive trees and a lily pond. Suffice it to say, Soho House CEO and Founder Nick Jones has hit the newest addition to his stellar portfolio out of the park, or shall we say, out of the hills.

The Car: Guests were treated to a preview of the 2010 Mercedes-Benz Gullwing alongside an original vintage model.
