A Vivanista member suggested recently that Vivanista should develop a reality show about women volunteering for charitable events.  Not that we’ve got any extra time on our hands.   But we got to talking and through the laughter of it all, it actually started making sense.  It could be a voyeuristic look behind the scenes that all of us love to peek at.  It would have high drama; if you’ve ever worked on a major fundraiser, you know what I’m referring to!  There’s always someone whose motivations are a bit more self-serving than everyone else’s.  And viewers could learn something new about charitable fundraising.

So here are some scenarios we came up with for our Reality Show:

• VivaDiva (Super Nanny): A charity event is in the planning phase and has fallen apart for whatever reason. We ride in on our white horse and rescuing the event from the brink of disaster by doling out pithy advice.
• The Socialite (The Apprentice): A competition where each episode volunteers would be pitted against each other to address a time-sensitive task or challenge as it relates to the production of a charitable event.
• DivaSwap (WifeSwap): Two charity event Chairs swap places from distinct parts of the country.  For example, Dallas and Boston event chairs would trade places.
• Socialites Without Borders (Housewives of…): Edgy, humorous chronicle of aspirational volunteers who are using their roles for less-than-altruistic purposes.
