On Wednesday, February 2, 2011 the New York City Ballet held its annual luncheon at the Lincoln Center. This year, patrons honored acclaimed director and choreographer, Susan Stroman.

Principal Dancers Amar Ramasar (L) and Ashley Bouder (R) with Susan Stroman

To celebrate her achievements, the NYC Ballet showcased her extraordinary career with a special one-time only program called “Susan Stroman: Dance on Stage & Screen.” The presentation was compiled of dance excerpts performed by the New York City Ballet, film clips, archival footage, and of course, Susan herself.

This elegant luncheon on the Promenade of the David H. Koch Theater also featured a live auction led by George McNeely of Christie’s. And as par tradition, the NYC Ballet awarded its traditional Janice Levin Dancer Award to Anthony Huxley.
